Honghe University launches Honghe Scholarship Programs which sponsors international students who are aspiring for a degree or non-degree study in Honghe University.

I. The 2016 Honghe Scholarship Programs Categories are:

1. Four-Academic-Year Bachelor Degree Study Program (One-Academic-Year Chinese Language Study + Three-Academic-Year Professional Study)

2. Three-Academic-Year Master Degree Program ( One-Academic-Year Chinese Language Study + Two-Academic-Year Professional Study)

3. One-Academic-Year Visiting Research and Study Program in Teaching Chinese Language to Speakers of Other Languages( TCLSOL)

II. Eligibility

1. For all the applicants.

Application is open to applicant who owns a non-Chinese citizenship, aged between 16 and 35, in good health condition, (Applicant who is currently working in a Chinese language teaching position shall not exceed the age limit of 45. Undergraduate student shall not exceed the age limit of 35.

2. For the applicant for the Bachelor Degree program.

1) High school graduates

2) Transferring college and university students

3. For the applicant for the Master Degree

The holders of bachelor degree.

4. For the applicant for the Visiting Research and Study Program in TCLSOL

The holders of master degree in Chinese Language and with experience in teaching Chinese.

III. Required documents or materials

1) Scanned copy of passport

2) Scanned copy of diploma [high school diploma or bachelor or (and) master degree(s)]

3) Subscript for college and university transfer students

4) Certificate of Health issued by county-level hospital

5) For the applicants for the visiting research and study program in TCLSOL, A research and study plan, and recommendation letter by a associate professor or professor.

IV. Coverage of the scholarship

1) Tuition and Fees: RMB 8400 yuan

2) Accommodation, insurance and residence permit: RMB 2300

3) Living Allowance per month（10 months /one academic year: Bachelor degree student: RMB600 yuan and master degree student and Visiting researcher: RMB 1200 yuan.

Remark: If a student with the scholarship fails in academic study or behaviors violent against the Chinese Laws and Campus regulations, the living allowance will be canceled.

V. The Application Procedure and admission date

1) Submit the documents or materials required to Office of International Programs and Services.(oips@uoh.edu.cn)

2) After verifying the application materials of an applicant, the admission result will be announced to the applicant within 30 working days.

3) A successful applicant will be required to fill in and submit the Form of Visa Application for Study in China.

4) The Acceptance letter and the approved the Form of Visa Application for Study in China will be mailed to the applicant.

Admission for the scholarship students is either on September 1st, 2016 or March 1st, 2017.
