Primarily countries along the “Belt and Road Initiative” and South Asian and Southeast Asian countries, with consideration for other countries.

IV. Scholarship Standards

(I) Amount

· Preparatory students and visiting students: ¥30,000 per year per person (1 year);

· Undergraduate students: ¥35,000 per year per person (4-5 years);

· Master’s students: ¥40,000 per year per person (3 years).

(II) Coverage

Tuition, living expenses, and insurance fees.

V. Application Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport;

2. Good conduct, physical and mental health, excellent academic performance, willingness to abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and Honghe University’s rules, respect Chinese customs, and no criminal record;

3. Educational background and age requirements:

· For master’s programs: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic qualification, HSK (Level 5) score of 180 or above, and under 35 years old;

· For undergraduate programs: High school graduation or equivalent academic qualification, HSK (Level 4) score of 180 or above, and under 25 years old;

· For preparatory programs: High school graduation or above, and under 25 years old;

· For visiting programs: Bachelor’s degree or above, and under 55 years old.

4.Meet the academic, language, and other relevant admission requirements of the applied program.

VI. Application Materials

1. Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form (Appendix 2) and Honghe University International Student Admission Application Form (downloaded from the system). (Completed in Chinese or English, submit both Excel file and signed scanned copy);

2. Scanned copy of the passport’s personal information page (valid for more than 1 year), and scanned copies of the latest visa page and entry-exit stamps (if applicable);

3. Digital photo (requirements: color 2-inch bareheaded ID photo，white background without border, head accounting for 2/3 of the photo, minimum size 320*240 pixels, aspect ratio 4:3, file size 100–500 KB, JPG format);

4. Original scanned copies of the highest academic certificate and transcripts; Fresh graduates must provide a pre-graduation certificate and transcripts of all completed courses, and submit the highest academic certificate after admission; Non-Chinese/English documents must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations;

5. Scanned copy of HSK certificate (Master’s and undergraduate students must provide it, and preparatory and advanced students can also provide it if available，preparatory and visiting students may provide if available);

6. Scanned copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for 6 months). Please bring the original when coming to China (kindly find it in Appendix 3);

7.Non-criminal record certificate (valid for 6 months). Non-Chinese/English documents must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations;

8. Proof of financial guarantee (issued within the past 6 months);

9.Recommendation Letter(For master’s applicants: Two recommendation letters written in Chinese or English by associate professors or above in relevant fields）;

10.China Scholastic Competency Assessment(CSCA) Report (Required for undergraduate-level applicants; for registration information, please refer to the official website of CSCA: https://csca.cn/home). The required subjects are as follows:

-If applicants do not have the CSCA Report at the time of application, applicants must submit the report before February 20, 2026 (Beijing time).

11.Other materials: Portfolio, award certificates, academic certificates above high school level, English language proficiency certificates, work resume, etc.

Notes: All items 1 to 10 materials are mandatory. Incomplete or non-compliant applications will not enter the admission assessment stage; All application materials must be formal scanned copies in PDF format (no photos taken by mobile phones or cameras); Original certificates (diploma, degree certificate, etc.) must be brought for verification during registration; Upload materials to the designated system location, with items 10 and 11 uploaded to the “Other” section.

VII. Application and Admission Process

(I) Application and Admission Process

1.Online Application

Log in to the “Honghe University Education Internationalization Management System” (http://jydwkf.uoh.edu.cn/openRegister/) to register, fill in application information online, upload and submit the materials. Applicants can check application progress and status via the system.

2.Admission Assessment

All applicants must participate in the unified interview organized by Honghe University.

3.Merit-Based Recommendation

Honghe University will recommend candidates to the competent authority for final review based on document review and admission assessment results. Approved applicants will be confirmed as scholarship recipients; Results can be viewed on the admission website (https://oips.uoh.edu.cn/gjxszs1.htm).

4.Admission Notification

Honghe University will issue electronic Admission Letter and Foreigner Student Visa Application Form (JW202 Form) to admitted students.

1. It is recommended to use Google Chrome for system registration;

2. Detailed steps can be found in the “INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION GUIDE” downloadable from the homepage of the application website;

3. Fill in information accurately: Use Chinese or English as required by the system; Name, passport number, and date of birth must match passport information exactly; Ensure accurate email address and mailing address for receiving the Admission Letter. Incorrect information may result in failure to receive electronic JW202 Form and Admission Letter;

4. Upload clear, authentic, and valid materials (preferably scanned with professional equipment). Applicants are responsible for consequences caused by unclear or unrecognizable materials.

Ⅷ. Opening Time of Application System

From December 3, 2025 to January 11, 2026(Including material modification and supplementary time). Late processing will not be accepted.

Note: Enrollment will start in September 2026.

IX. Registration

1. Admitted students must complete registration procedures on the date specified in the Admission Letter. Original highest academic certificate must be provided for qualification verification. Students who fail to register on time without valid reasons or do not meet admission requirements will have their admission revoked.

2.Admitted students are generally not allowed to change their major or study duration.
